Located in Bel Air, Maryland, The Small Business Group was founded in 1990 by Carl Strozyk.
We started as a small tax and accounting firm but as the firm grew, we recognized that our clients needed help with other financial aspects of their lives.
In the spirit of kindness and stewardship, we expanded the scope of our practice to better accommodate our clients, and make their financial success our #1 priority.

Carl M. Strozyk, CFP®, EA, MBA:
Carl has been in the tax and accounting and financial services industry and has owned his own business since 1990.
He renamed his business 360 Financial Group in 2012, formerly Small Business Group, which originated, in 1991. Carl’s experience owning, managing, and operating his own small business makes him well-able and an expert in assisting other small business owners discover their potential in owning, managing and operating their small businesses.
Carl’s dedication to the industry and client service stems from years of experience. Carl seeks to create long-lasting client relationships by working with each client, learning what their individual needs are and work together to achieve their goals.

Education and Professional Designations
Carl earned a bachelor’s degree from McDaniel College, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in mechanical engineering. He also earned his MBA from Loyola University. Carl is a Certified Financial Planner and holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63 and 65 licenses. He also carries an enrolled agent designation which allows him to represent taxpayers, before the IRS.
Carl is partnered with the broker/dealer, Cambridge Investment Research, Inc. and has received the Leaders Club Award which distinguishes his accomplishments, in delivering some of the highest levels of client service, in his profession.
Carl resides in Monkton, Maryland, with his wife and two sons, and is a native of Harford County, Maryland. Carl is a graduate of John Carroll High School. He is a lecturer on small business issues as well as various financial topics. Carl currently works with Harford County’s Office of Community and Economic Development and has been on a panel of “Ask the Experts”. In the past, he had written a regular column as “The Small Business Advisor”, for The Harford Business Ledger. In his spare time, Carl enjoys golf, tennis, hiking and playing the guitar.
Cheryl A. Girvin, EA
Director of Small Business Services, Senior Tax Accountant, Quickbooks ProAdvisor
Cheryl joined the 360 Financial Group, in 1994, and works with individuals and businesses providing expertise in personal, corporate and partnership taxation as well as assisting clients with their accounting needs. With over 25 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of C and S Corporations, partnerships, LLCs, sole proprietors and non-profits, Cheryl has a unique talent for understanding and solving the many issues small business owners face.
Education and Professional Designations
Cheryl holds her Associates Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Accounting, is a member of the Maryland Society of Accountants as well as the National Society of Accountants. She is also an active member of Harford County Referral Partners, Bel Air Downtown Alliance, which supports local small businesses and is also an active member of Harford County Women in Business. Cheryl also carries an enrolled agent designation which allows her to represent taxpayers, before the IRS.
Cheryl is married with two sons, has been a resident of Harford County since 1981 and enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, dancing, music/concerts, loves Disney and the beach and is a fan of the Baltimore Ravens!
John R. Puskar, EA
Senior Tax Accountant
John advises our clients in all aspects of federal and state tax planning and income tax return preparation. He is also a specialist in assisting our clients in resolving a variety of tax issues, with the IRS and state taxing authorities. John carries an enrolled agent designation which allows him to represent taxpayers, before the IRS.
Prior to 360 Financial Group, John was an auditor with the IRS, for 39 years, and since that time, he worked with H&R Block and has now been with 360 Financial Group, for more than six years.
John is a proud Vietnam Veteran and lifelong Maryland resident currently living in Forest Hill, with his wife. In his spare time, John enjoys serving as Treasurer for his Knights of Columbus Council and is active in his church.
Mary Ann Raeke
Director of Client Services for Wealth Management, Office Manager
Mary Ann joined the 360 Financial Group in 2016 and is Director of Client Services for Wealth Management as well as our Office Manager.
Mary Ann came to 360 Financial Group with 30 years’ experience working as Executive Administrative Assistant, in the financial, tax and accounting industries and very much enjoys working with clients to build and cultivate great client relationships.
Mary Ann lives in Baltimore County with her teenage son and their miniature dachshund. She loves spending time with her son, boyfriend, and family & friends. In her spare time, Mary Ann enjoys music, being a passenger on The Harley, movies, playing the banjo and is ALWAYS up for the beach.
Billing Manager, Administrative Support
Hilary joined the 360 Financial Group in June 2016 and is our Billing Manager, assists with several of our payroll clients and supports our Tax Services Department, during tax season and throughout the year, as needed.
Hilary lives in Norwest Baltimore County with her husband and daughter.
Hilary enjoys fostering dogs for Operation Paws for Homes and TRU Rescue. She also volunteers and fosters for Baltimore County Animal Services and Hilary also enjoys many kinds of crafting.
Director of Client Services for Tax & Accounting
Kim joined the 360 Financial Group in 2017 and is our Director of Client Services for Tax & Accounting. Kim has more than 20 years of administrative experience and has worked in the tax and accounting field for more than 12 years.
Kim is married, with two daughters, and lives in Harford County. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan!
